حجت الاسلام سید شهاب الدین حسینی در آیین رونمایی از ضریح مطهر امامزاده سیدمحمد (ع) مایان، با اشاره به جایگاه امامزاده‌ها در اسلام، گفت: پیامبر اکرم (ص) می‌فرمایند: اگر کسی به زیارت یکی از جگرگوشه‌های ما برود، در مواقع سختی و قیامت به فریاد او می‌آیم. وی با بیان این‌که ما به دنبال سند برای مشخص شدن چندمین نسل بودن امامزادگان نیستیم، افزود: معتبرترین امامزاده استان ما امامزاده سیداحمد مرند است که در سندیت آن می‌توان گفت، شخصیت عظیمی چون آیت الله میرزا علی اکبر تبریزی وصیت می‌کند تا پس از مرگ در جوار این امامزاده دفن شود.
وی با بیان این‌که امامزاده سیدجمال تبریز، نسل سوم اهل بیت (ع) به همراه بیش از ۲۰۰ امامزاده در استان مدفون هستند، ادامه داد: امامزاده سید حمزه تبریز در قرن هفتم می‌زیست و از نسل دور و شانزدهمین نسل امام موسی بن جعفر (ع) بود اما امروز می‌بینیم که زائران بسیاری برای حاجت گرفتن به زیارت این امامزاده جلیل القدر می‌روند و از ایشان جواب می‌گیرند.حجت الاسلام حسینی به محل دفن حضرت رقیه (س) نیز اشاره کرد و گفت: در این خصوص شهرت قائم است که دختر امام حسین (ع) در خرابه شام دفن شده و اگر این دختر سه ساله اباعبدالله (ع) در این محل نبود، مردم اسارت اهل بیت (ع) را از یاد می‌بردند.وی با تاکید بر این‌که مردم می‌توانند به یک امامزاده که صرف شهرت بر آن قائم است، مراجعه کنند، افزود: در مباحث معرفتی، نیازی به سند نداریم.
وی ادامه داد: زیارت در حقیقت یک سفری است که با مسیر دل آغاز شده و پس از اوج به مقصد می‌رسد و ثمر می‌دهد و بنا بر گفته‌ی بزرگان دینی، بایستی به امامزادگان مدفون و معروف در هر شهر و منطقه‌ای، رجوع کنیم چرا که هر کدام از امامزادگان، همانند هر میوه‌ای خاصیت خاص خود را دارند.مدیرکل اوقاف و امور خیریه آذربایجان شرقی با بیان این‌که در ساخت زیارتگاه امامزاده عون ابن علی در بالای کوه نیز نیازی به اثبات نبوده و این زیارتگاه به عنوان تفرجگاه معنوی بالای کوه ساخته شده است، تاکید کرد: وقتی به امامزاده‌ای مراجعه کرده و جواب می‌گیریم، پس نیازی به کنکاش و دانستن نسل چندم بودن ایشان نیست بلکه باید اعتقادتمان را اصلاح کنیم.
